Ian has a medical and instructional background spanning over two decades. Ian has served 23 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a Combat Medical Technician; He has been employed in a variety of roles throughout his career deploying on security and peacekeeping operations throughout the world. During operational and peacekeeping missions, he has been employed in Medical Treatment Stations as well as working autonomously in remote locations in a front-line medical role. He has worked in a training role as an instructor with phase 1 and 2 recruits as well as trained soldiers and has delivering and assessing military medical courses and battlefield trauma training for troops deploying on operations and exercise.

His job has enabled him to work alongside members of other Corps and Regiments within the British military as well as soldiers from other countries armed forces in both an operational and instructional role. He has developed and delivered medical trained courses for multinational troops and civilian organisations. His instructor skills have been greatly enhanced by instructing in a wide variety of topics not just medical subjects, this has given him the opportunity to develop as an instructor and assessor.

In 2015 Ian opened Caduceus Training and Operations Ltd, which is a Qualsafe approved training centre, which provides a large range of First Aid and Pre-hospital Care training courses, as well as a range of tactical training courses. Working with a variety of different clients from individuals, small groups and companies. A large part of his client base is security companies, and he has tailored the training courses to meet the needs of the industry in both hostile and executive protection.

As the Managing Director and chief instructor Ian is responsible for all aspects of the business. Ian is passionate about ensuring that all training is delivered to the highest standards by all instructors. Keeping up to date with current techniques and legislations. He is always looking for new ways to develop and enhance himself and the business. By seeking new qualifications to add to the companies portfolio and developing new courses to meet the needs of clients.
